Jarryd Hayne is a native Australian who played in the National Rugby League for the Parramatta Eels. Throughout his career in the sport, Hayne was no stranger to awards, earning representative honours at the state, international, and All-Star levels. He was the National Rugby League’s player of the year in 2009 and 2014 and won the Rugby League International Federation’s International Player of the Year award in 2009. He made a career shift in 2015, entering the NFL as a running back for the San Francisco 49ers. Hayne’s personal brand has been developing from the start of his athletic career with the introduction of a post scoring try celebration known as the “Hayne Plane” during which Hayne would extend both arms to the side and replicate the wings of a plane.
